Sometimes in agency life its hard to find time to grab lunch, step away from your desk or do your banking so trying to find time to take the team away from the office for a whole day is a luxury we all savour. The team look forward to it for the break from the office and the Agency for the opportunity to see what we have achieved and to share the strategy and vision for the year ahead.
This year, we descended on the Royal Motor Yatch Club in Point Piper looking somewhat out of place as teams came dressed ready for the afternoon’s activities. We had the Sailor’s, the Superhero’s, the 80’s fitness crew and the Olympians.
Paul Kelly from Channel (also our neighbours at Bridge Street) facilitated the morning session where we talked about our strategy for the year ahead, understanding our value and discussing value adding initiatives and ran an interesting exercise in learning more about our Agency Identity through each employee sharing a memorable moment at Metropolis.
After a delicious lunch by Zest, we headed to Centennial Park for some group “Kumbaya” bonding fun a.k.a. Segway Olympics, Clay Pigeon Laser Shooting, Human Foosball & a cast back to school days with some quality Dodge Ball. It turns out we have some seriously good shooters…..note to self, watch your back.
Nothing beats a good day of team bonding like a drink and a good meal to finish off the day at The Morrison. With four of our team members winning our annual Values Awards for demonstrating the Agency Values throughout the year voted for by the entire agency.
- David Cunningham – Finished Artist
- Rob Mattingly – Finance Director
- Alex Austin – Account Director
- Bryce Waters – Production Design Coordinator
We are looking forward to another outstanding year ahead for FY13/14.
