Project Background

Situated amongst Bayside Centre, 12 Balmoral Walk is a modern commercial hub for the workforce of tomorrow. This brand-new A-Grade bay view building is designed for an emerging breed of professionals who see their workplace as an extension of their lifestyle.

Project Brief

Metropolis was appointed to position 12 Balmoral Walk as a new and dynamic commercial hub in a coastal location, surrounded by established retail amenity and extensive transport links. The project required us to create an engaging brand, campaign and leasing collateral that demonstrated the emerging movement of businesses de-centralising from Melbourne’s CBD to locations closer to where their staff live and that offer greater work/life balance. Repositioning Frankston as a developing and modern coastal CBD was at the core of our proposition, allowing businesses to see the benefits of a corporate sea-change out of the Melbourne CBD and into an emerging business hub.

Design Challenge

This brand story required something fresh and unique in the typically conservative commercial property category, but still authentic to our project, location and positioning. Capturing an intrinsically coastal feel we took inspiration from nautical flags. A unique and memorable creative concept was developed, using a graphic pattern that is animated in digital formats, integrated into custom typographic lock-ups for messaging and used to add colour and energy throughout all collateral. This provided the leasing team with a refreshingly different, engaging, and memorable campaign to take to market and start a new kind of conversation with potential tenants that they may not have previously considered.
